      I guess everyone wants to live in dignity. But everyone knows how to do it? Our lives are judged by the descendants. What works and deeds we have done, what memories about us they will have, it all depends on us. So we must live life to remain good memories of us in the hearts of people. 

      Our life is short, so it is necessary to live brighter and more interesting. Now many people care only of their own interests, forgetting the human qualities such as love, kindness and mutual understanding. To be able to hear your neighbor, to share concerns and joys, to help the needy, it means to live in dignity. To do good without asking for anything in return, in fact, it is not enough in our life. If you're going to help people, the memory of you will live on in their hearts. It is very important to live thinking not only about own interests, but also about the people around you, about the world.

How to plan the perfect class schedule 

 

     When planning for the class schedule, people look for different things. Depending on their style, students' priorities will vary greatly from wanting to take numerous classes in one day, and not go to school for a few days, or wanting to even out the classes throughout the week. Even with varying preferences there are three underlining factors that must be considered when planning a class schedule: the quality of the professor, what time the class is, and how far apart the classes are. 

 

     First, finding a good professor is crucial in succeeding. Even if the class is in the morning, and the classes may be really far apart, if it is a good professor, it is a class that one must take. Likewise, if the professor is bad, all of the other factors do not matter. Unless one has to take classes at a certain time because they have to work, it is highly recommended to prioritize finding a good professor. When finding good professors, it falls to two categories. There are professors that give good grades, and professors that can really teach. It is important to find a balance between the two professors, and avoid professors that do not give a good grade, but can not teach either. The professors that give good grades is crucial for balancing one's grade. A university is a place where people learn new things, and improve their knowledge. For this reason, strict professors that may not give the highest scores but can teach well is recommended. However, only taking educational classes may be harmful for the grade. Only taking easy courses that give good grades may be beneficial when trying to get a job. Yet, it will not fully prepare someone to manage the job. Thus, it is important to know, and take courses of both professors that can teach well, and that give good grades. If one is taking nine courses, the recommended ratio is six courses that are easy, and three courses where one can really learn.

 

     Another important factor to consider while registering for courses is the time of the class. There are students who work best in the morning, and students who prefer working at night. Depending on what time one prefers, whether to choose morning classes or afternoon classes differ. The first thing to consider is how long it takes from the house to school. If the distance is longer than ten minutes, it highly discouraged to take classes at nine in the morning. The next thing to consider is how many courses you are taking. If it is more than two, going to school from the morning can be very tiring. 

 

     The last thing to keep in mind during course registration is how far apart the class is. If there is more than a two hour gap between the classes, and one lives far away from school, it can be troublesome. Not only is it tiring to stay in school for a long time, but it is also hard to use the empty time wisely.

 

 

     Class registration is a difficult task that decides how the rest of the semester will be. By following my advice, the whole semester can be a breeze.

At one point, everyone goes through a financial crisis which could have been the result of miscalculating finances, simply spending too much or losing a job. It is needless to explain the agony and frustration that come along with being broke. However, there are various ways to overcome this hurdle from these three simple steps.

The first step is to calculate where you spend most of your money. Do you spend a lot of money socializing? Do you dine out often? After seeing where most of the expenditure go to, this is the starting point of where you make your financial cuts. When you are broke, you are no longer in a situation to afford luxuries. Stop spending money on the useless things. Cut down drinking, dining out, attending social functions or events and so on.

After making all the financial cuts, the next biggest objective is to save. Many people do not realize that saving the smallest amounts of money, even coins, can make a big difference to their finance. At the time, a couple of petty coins may look useless. However, over time it can accumulate to surprisingly large sums of money. Therefore, start saving money from the small things. Restrain yourself from buying a cup of coffee every day. When you go shopping, buy non-branded products. Take public transportation and make a coin collection. Try to save as must as you can.

The last step is to make a budget every week. Only calculate the amount of money you need in order to survive and refrain yourself from overspending. You may wonder, how can I survive? However, you need to learn how to live off from the minimal amount of money and resources. Learn how to recycle used products and re-use it as cleaning utensils so that you don't have to spend extra money. Don't use too much electricity or gas at home because ultimately, they sum to money. Learn how to entertain yourself without the use of technology like reading a book. It may look impossible, however, as long as you have the determination, there will be immediate changes to your finances.

After following these three simple steps, you will eventually escape the torment of being broke in no time. When you do, don't forget to continue to make budgets and calculate your expenditure to maintain your financial stability.

How to play games in the computer lab without getting caught                Starting from elementary school to middle school and sometimes until high school, computer classes are included in the students' weekly schedule. When students see computers, especially in schools, it is often very tempting to use those computers for a different purpose. Instead of listening to the teacher's lecture in the computer lab, students play games on the computers. But unfortunately, a number of those careless students, concentrating too much on their online battles, do not notice that the teacher is calling them and are eventually caught. However, those who manage to stay hidden while fulfilling their desires have their own methods of not getting caught.              Choosing the right seat is the first step in not getting caught. In this context, the "right" seat refers to the computers that would receive the least attention from the teacher. It is important to avoid some sections of the classroom which includes the front, the back and the aisle section. These locations frequently receive the instructor's gaze and students in these seats are most likely to be discovered. Finding the best seats will be a race among your classmates and once the bell rings that signals the end of your class, quickly grab your bag and belongs and start running. When you enter the computer lab, quickly grab the seat that is at the center of the classroom. Even though you may have lost the race, there is still a chance. Other seats such as the ones in the third or fourth row are also safe.              The next step would be to download the game you are going to play. This process must be accomplished quickly. Before the teacher comes in to start the class, turn on the computer and open up the websites that contains the games whether they may be in torrents, downloading websites or just simply within the internet. A tip in shortening the downloading period would be that you would practice such process at home. Be sure to know the routes and necessary steps to find your game. For instance, if the game or the website requires certain programs to be installed, be sure to install them beforehand before the class starts. In addition, while the game is being downloaded, one thing to keep in mind is that you are in class, which means that you should also be participating in class activities. So pay attention to the teacher as well and see if he or she asks you to do something in which case you should do them.              The final step is obviously to enjoy the game. However, many students fail to do this as they are caught so easily. Playing the game is the easy part but doing so without being noticed is the challenge. The key in getting away is literally the "key" on the keyboard. "ALT+TAB" is the most important key. This function allows you to change the screens from one program to another. So if you are playing the game and suddenly sees that the teacher is walking over, checking if the students are doing their work, press ALT+TAB and the screen will change to the class material. The teacher will not notice your mischief. In order to change quickly, this calls for a multi-tasking ability; not the ability to play games and work on your assignments at the same time, but the ability to play and watch if the teacher is coming towards you. If you are too focused on the game you will soon get caught, but if you are keen enough to notice that the teacher is coming towards you, quickly convert your program and act natural. One last tip of advice is that try to move around your mouse too much or click too often. Normally, in-class activity using computers do not require excessive movement of mouse or keyboards. When everyone else is moving their equipments at a natural pace while yours' is moving too fast, the instructor will notice something strange about your computer.              Trying to play a game in the middle of a class lesson is not an easy task. However, the temptation to play a computer in a computer class is too strong to resist. In order to enjoy such temptation, students must know how to get away which starts from choosing the right seat, downloading the game and playing it without the teacher noticing them. Of course, playing games in a class is not a right act, however if you are to do it, do it carefully and secretively so that only you know about it.

           Nowadays, many people breed pets in their house. Types of pets vary from a common type like goldfish, dog and cat to extraordinary ones like snake and monkey. I myself bred various species of pets like goldfish, turtles, chickens, lovebirds and guinea-pig ever since my childhood. As some of you might as well want to breed a pet like I do, I would like to inform you of how to properly breed a pet in your house. The three stages that you have to go through to adapt a pet properly is collecting information, preparing for adoption, and adaptation.

           Knowing about what kind of the pet you want to adopt or you will adopt, is very important. Some irresponsible people just bring a pet to their house and later abandon them as they noticed that the pets were not the ones they wanted or taking care of them was a very bothersome job. If you do not want to become one of those "irresponsible" people, first, look up for the information of the pet you want to adopt. The information includes the experience of the pet breeders and other encyclopedia information of the animal's habitat or characteristic. Also, look up for the possible expenditure for breeding the pet. After knowing more about them, think of your characteristics, schedules and financial status. Ask yourself whether you are a capable enough person that can handle pet poops and have the pet cleaned regularly. Ask yourself whether you are thinking of this matter seriously or not. Adopting and breeding a pet requires more patience than having a housemate. Think of your economic status since pets, as well as human, eat regularly and sometimes get sick. When you think you really want the pet and have enough money to take care of one, prepare for the real adoption.

           For adoption, you can simply go to a pet store and adopt the pet you want. Or, you can surf through internet blogs and cafes and adopt one from pet breeders. Maybe, you can adopt one form your acquaintances. There are various routes for adoption. However, do not bring the pet right away to your place. You have to first, clean your place, and buy the essential things needed for the pet. Cleaning before adoption is important. You can let the pet to get used to your place easily by getting rid of some things that pet does not like or dangerous to the pet. Essential things for pet are the pet's house and its food. Pet food is needed to feed the pet. Pet house is needed because you cannot let the pet to roam around everywhere and have your bed as its house. It is the meaning of restricting its area of activity and giving part of your house as its private space. When this is all ready, adopt a pet from pet shops or other pet breeders. Before bring them home, make sure to visit a veterinarian and get a medical checkup.

           After bringing the pet to your house, everything complicated seems to have ended. Actually, it's not. The most complicated part of this whole adoption is adaption of the pet and the owner. Many animals are very sensitive to their habitat. It can also be applied to human. For example, many of you will feel interrupted and uncomfortable with your brothers, sisters, or any family members bursting into your room all of a sudden. Pets, when adopted, lose their original habitat and feel very uncomfortable with it. When a pet is brought to your house, it will be nervous and sometimes panic with the fact of being in an unfamiliar place. It is important for you, who became pet owners, to help the pet to get used to you and the new habitat. Stay in your pet's sight as much as possible and slowly let them get used to you. When this stage is not properly over, some pets may have to be sent back to their original place.

           Breeding a pet is not easy. Before adopting a pet, reconsider the decision over and over since there are various things you have to consider like money and the amount of time that you will spend together. Pets are not just animals that decorate your prosaic house; they are part of your life like your family, regardless of species.

During weekends, many people search for something relaxing to do. They sometimes go out for a walk or make an appointment with their colleagues. To most of the people, weekend is a red day; holiday. For me, it used to be a red day until November, 2014. Luckily but unfortunately, I got a part-time job in a restaurant. What I do there from five to ten p.m. at Saturdays and Sundays is far from taking a rest. I work. I do hall serving, cleaning and closing the restaurant.

           I start working at five, but having to arrive at the place earlier than that to get prepared, I leave home around 4:30. It is so lucky of me to get a job close to my place. If my workplace was as far as my school, I would have been spending my whole week working along with studying. As I arrive around 4:50, I quickly change my cloth, tie my hair, and start hall service. Hall serving is sometimes hard, but usually not hard. All I have to do is receive orders from the customers and deliver dishes to them. I sometimes have to clean up shattered dishes and cups or deliver something else than an order; complain. Around seven o' clock, the number of customers decrease and this is when I start cleaning the hall which is restaurant itself.

           Although it is called as a restaurant, the place is not that big. It is part of a huge shopping mall and there are several other shop owners on the sides of the hallway. Therefore, I am the only part-time worker in the restaurant, which means that I have to clean up everything. Around seven, when there is no customer in the hall, I sweep the place clean. I sweep bits of grains, bread crusts, parts of meatballs and everything else. Next, I start doing the dishes. It is a restaurant cooking foreign meal. Accordingly, dishes and tableware are covered with chili sauce and meat oil. So to make them clean, I wash leftovers away and put the dishes, forks, knives and cups into the dish washer to sterilize them with hot water. Around eight, I move on to clean coffee machine. I turn off the power and disassemble the machine (partly) and carefully rake coffee stains off from the machine. I also break up soda machine, bubble them once and corks of the machine go straight into the washer. Around nine, I mop the hall and wash the mop as white as possible with detergent. Finally, I drain water from the washer. Since there are oil stains in the washer, I have to rub them out with a sponge. It is 9:30, I am ready to close the door.

           I go up to the counter. I open the cashier machine and calculate the bills and check if the cash is equal to the account paper. As I said, it is a small restaurant in the huge shopping mall, I have to put the cash into the machine that the mall owns. After entering the restaurant ID and pass into the machine in the end of the hallway, I can settle the cash and come back to the restaurant. When it is near 10, I lower the line for the drape that forbids people from coming into the restaurant. When it becomes 10 o' clock, I can go home.

           It has been almost six months from when I started working at the restaurant. The pay is not high compared to what I do. So, I sometimes thought of quitting the job due to the physical stress. However, the owner of the market is so kind and she treats her workers with care. I could not quit just because the wage is not high and I am tired a bit. I have been using the wage to pay for the language academy during winter vacation. As I have no plans to attend the academy during semester, I'll be working for extra allowance. With the money I earned, I want to take a trip or keep it for my future.

     The people who in the past did not know about the compass and did not use the clock could determine the exact date with the sun and moon. They had used the Eastern calendar, created almost three thousand years ago. According to the eastern calendar there was a very important day, which usually falls on March 21. It was the day of the vernal equinox, which was called Nauryz that means "new day". Nauryz is one of the most ancient holidays in the East. It is reputed by the Kazakh and is one of the most long-awaited and joyful events. This holiday appeared in the I millennium B.C.

     Nauryz is a holiday of renewal and spring. It is also called as eastern New Year. This holiday represents not only spring renewal but also friendship, love and fertility. People believed that on this day they got rid of the winter hardships and rejoiced for the welfare and safety of the main wealth of nomads - cattle. On this holiday people forgive all the insults to each other and stop all quarrels and wars. To pass all the hardships and troubles everyone tries to be in a good mood, hug each other and say the best wishes. People dress nice and clean clothes and some of them wear traditional costumes. 

     The Kazakh celebrate Nauryz in the same manner as other oriental peoples but they have their own individualities. Kazakh's attitude towards Nauryz is characterized by the fact that the boys who were born on the day of the vernal equinox, received the names of Nauryz-Bai, Nauryzbek, girls - just Nauryz, Nauryzgul. The main dish of the holiday is nauryz-koje or nauryzdyk which consists of seven ingredients symbolizing seven elements of life: meat, water, oil, flour, salt, cereals (rice, corn or wheat) and milk. The number 7 is a fortunate number for the Kazakh that is why many festive ceremonies are connected with it. It represents the seven days of the week - the time unit of the universal eternity.

     Different kinds of games and competitions are organized during the three days of the holiday where adults and the youth, children and women take an active part. During celebration of Nauryz, the Kazakh visit their friends and relatives, they can often watch people saying "Koktem Tudy" – Congratulation on Spring Day! Absolutely unknown people are greeting you wishing well-being. Contest of folk singers – akyns who glorify Nauryz in their songs are also held during the holiday celebration in Kazakhstan. A variety of dance and theater performances, representing national traditions and rituals, attract people and teach them to respect their culture and their native land, to strive for the preservation of peace and understanding between different ethnic groups in Kazakhstan. 

     Nowadays, it is obviously that the ancient Nauryz holiday is popularly beloved in modern life of Kazakhstani society and has a major role in strengthening political stability, friendship and harmony.

Nowruz is one of the most important holidays of the nations of Asia, including Kazakhstan. It is a celebration of spring, renewal of nature and the beginning of a new year. It is believed that a generous feast of Nowruz will bring wealth and success into the house for the whole year. These beliefs explain the abundance of festive rituals and customs.

The beginning of the celebration was a traditional meeting dawn connected with the ancient ritual - "If you see a well, clear its head". All people of a tribe, picking up a shovel and hoe, gathered at the appointed spring or ditch and made his clearance. Then under the guidance of a venerable old man all together made tree planting . After ritual activities three persons dressed in bright, festive costumes as zhyrshy - barker bypass all the streets, squares, courtyards and call everyone for celebration. People have fun, congratulate each other with the New Year, wish each other well, sing songs, which have long been composed especially for this holiday - Nowruz-zhyr, play national games and so on.

Due to the nomadic lifestyle of the Kazakhs the most famous and most popular competitions are Alaman bayga (horse races on long distances from 25 to 100 km), and Audaryspak (fight on horses in order to throw the opponent out of the saddle) and Kyz kuu (catch the girl). Kiz kuu has its roots in antiquity, when girls were warriors and riders. According to the terms of the game a  girl ride a horse a certain distance to the pivot column, while a guy tries to catch up with her. If he can do it, then, as the winner has the right to take the girl to the wife. If he failed, he has to ride from the girl, as in this case, the girl begins to catch up with him and beat him with a whip with all her might. All this turns into a fun and exciting spectacle for all the participants and viewers.

During the celebration a lot of food are prepared, it symbolizes wealth and galore  in the coming year. Dastarkhan covered in each family. The main ritual dish of this holiday is Nowruz-kozhe, which consists of 7 components (water, meat, salt, oil, flour, cereals (rice, corn or wheat) and milk) symbolizing 7 elements of life - joy, luck, wisdom, health, welfare, speed, growth, and spiritual protection. When Kazakhs celebrate Nowruz, the digit "7" is everywhere, for example - 7 bowls with Nowruz-kozhe must be dished to an aqsaqal , everyone should visit 7 homes and invite 7 guests. Finally, aitys, wordy contest of akyns accompanied with dombra, completes the celebration. It begins toward evening and continues until dawn. The winner is the one who best glorified goodness and humaneness.  In such a way the holiday of spring renewal and equinox ends.

Ancient holiday Nowruz with all stages of celebration harmoniously transformed into modern life, preserving the continuity of ancient traditions. Nowruz has become a national holiday of spring and labor unity for all peoples living in multinational Kazakhstan..

How to make a good presentation                When a freshman goes to college for the first time and sees his class schedule, he might be surprised to find out that many of his classes requires a presentation, whether it is done in a group or as an individual. A person who is not familiar with speaking in front of the class, may feel anxious and scared, which may be common for many high school students who have always sat on their own desks and studied their own materials. However, learning how to present one's ideas is required not only in college, but also in workplaces and it is important for people to have some knowledge on how to make an impressive presentation. The three basic presentation skills include outlining, practicing and delivering.              To begin with, outlining, before making the presentation is the first step in delivering a great presentation. Presentation, in the end, is a tool for conveying ideas and if the ideas are not persuasive, logical or unorganized, the presentation itself cannot be effective either. So before making a presentation, it is important for the speaker to carefully outline the ideas of his presentation and organize them in an order that would smoothen his speech. For example, just like an essay has a standardized structure, so does a presentation. A formal presentation contains certain factors such as an attention-getter, an index, topic ideas and so on. During his presentation, the speaker should organize his ideas according to such structure in order to create a formal presentation.              Once a speaker is done with his outlining and is satisfied with his organization, it is time to move on to the next step. Practice is, without doubt, the most important factor in making a good presentation. Once a speaker stands in front of the audience, he will be very nervous unless he is a professional speaker with years of speech experience. If not, anxiety will enclose him and he may lose track of his presentation which will leave both the audience and himself perplexed. In order to overcome such happening, the only way is through repetitive practice. As there is a saying, "practice makes perfect", practice truly does not only improve one's presentation, but also boost his confidence. For instance, during practice, it is important to stand alone in his room, pretend that the books on his shelf, the water bottle on his desk and the bag on the floor are the audience, time himself and make a rehearsal. By having a mock-presentation in front of the objects, at the actual presentation, the speaker will be less pressured and feel that he is making an another practice presentation in front of the audience.              Now that the speaker is ready and set, prepared his PowerPoint, cleared his throat, it is time to give a great presentation. The delivering method is the final component of an effective speech. No matter how good the PowerPoint may be, if the delivery of the presenter is not effective, the presentation cannot be considered as 'good'. So it is important to employ some of speaking techniques such as maintaining eye contact, varying intonations or stressing important ideas. Before the actual speech, it would be recommendable to start with a humor to create a friendly atmosphere both for the speaker and for the audience. After the presentation, it also one of the methods to invite questions and appreciating the audience for paying attention to the presentation.              Therefore, when trying to impress a large group of people through a presentation, it would be wise to follow the three most important factors: outlining, practicing and delivering. Making a presentation could be a burdensome work, especially for those who are afraid of speaking in front of others. However, such difficulties can be overcome with the above-mentioned characteristics. It will not be easy as a piece of cake, but is surely effective.

How a Nanta usher prepare the show

 

     Do you know Nanta? Nanta is a non-verbal performance combining Korean traditional sound with comedy and also drama in kitchen. Since the show is non-verbal and expressed only with music and movement, it is enjoyed by a lot of audience worldwide. There are several Nanta theatres in Korea and I started to work as an usher in Chungjeongno Nanta theatre since last week. I'm still learning the work, so I think it's worth writing down the steps of preparing a Nanta show. The basic three steps a Nanta usher should work are as follows: checking the auditorium before the show, examining the tickets, and observing the spectators during the show.

 

     First of all, house ushers should examine the seats to check if there are dirty ones. If there are dirty seats, we call the cleaning service and let them clean up before the audience come in. This process is important because there are some people who pee on their seats during the show. This is a rare case and quite unbelievable but it actually happens though I've never seen one. When finished checking the seats, one usher go hide a prop which will be used in the middle of the performance. He or She should make sure that guests waiting outside are unable to notice the prop because it may kill the joy beforehand. There are tons of tiny things to do before the show; however these should be completed without fail.

 

     Next, it's time to open the gate and welcome the guests. Before actually letting them enter, it is better to line them up since there are always big groups of tourists. House ushers are informed of the big groups beforehand, but it's still hard to control them if we do not form the line. For instance, there were about 150 foreign guests in one group. Before even we examine the tickets, they just rushed to the auditorium and sat down wherever they wanted. They seem to be unaware of the seating arrangement and refused to stand up when the actual owner of the seat came. We had a hard time winning them over and managing the seats with the help of their tour guide shortly before the show begins. 

     Finally,if this happening ends, the show begins at 5 o'clock. However, house ushers have a lot left to do during the performance. There are always more than a couple of late comers per show. It is usher's job to take them to the assigned seats. However, there are several moments when no enter or even no exit are allowed. At those times, ushers need to make the guest understand the situation and ask for an excuse. When the story reaches the end, there are people who want to leave earlier than others. In this situation, house ushers are encouraged to control the audience not to get out early because there is a possibility that the guests next to them confuse the closing time and leave the spot as well. After the show ends, ushers check the seats similar to the first step and collect the things which seem to be the guests' and take them to the lost and found.

     Nanta show is exciting and enjoyed by everybody from all over the world. It is easy to understand and successfully integrated Korean traditional rhythm with Western musical. However, as most of the audience are foreign tourists and many of them are tricky to control, house ushers's job is critical in Nanta show. There are three fundamental steps for a Nanta usher to follow; first of all he or she should check if there are unclean seats and prepare the prop. Then, when the house is opened and the show begins, an usher should control the late comers. Lastly if the show ends, he or she should make sure that all the audience get out and check if there are left belongings.

     Daniel Keys Moran once said, "The universe is not fair and it is never going to be fair." Most requests people make are rejected regardless of wether it is plausible or not. The main reason why their demand is denied is not because of what they are asking for, but how they are asking it. One can significantly increase their chances of getting what they want following three simple steps.

     First, it is important to make a logical statement. The most common mistake people make while asking for something is not explaining why they need it. Simply asking, begging, or even pouting will not bring any promising results. In the case of allowance, what one has to do is create a chart of how much money they are spending. This way, it clearly showing how much their minimum allowance has to be, compared to how much they are currently receiving. For example, if you are currently receiving $65 as a weekly allowance, show your schedule and why you need more money. The transportation from school to home by subway costs two dollars, and since you go to school five days in a week, that is ten dollars. Eating lunch is five dollars, and dinner is five dollars. So ten dollars for five days is fifty dollars. In addition, you might want to meet friends to eat, or watch movies, or you might want to eat snacks that could amount to 20~30 dollars. This way, you will be more likely to get a raise amounting to at least $80 or $90. 

     Next, it is important to think about what others might want. Innately, people are inclined to think about their benefits before others. It is important to be logically correct, but it is more important to clearly show what is in it for them. If we go back to the allowance example, the parent may agree that $65 may not be enough for their child, but it also shows that the allowance is sufficient since only $60 is necessary for the child's food and transportation fee. In this case, if one thinks about what the parent might need, they can come to an agreement quickly. The child needs a raise in allowance, and the parent probably wants to do less work. If the child offers to do chores like washing the dishes, doing laundry, or sweeping the floor, it would be a win win situation. 

     Last but not least, it is important to always be polite. One should always say please and thank you regardless of  wether their request is fulfilled or not. With the allowance example, even if you had to create a chart, or do chores to get a raise in allowance, the parent still answered your demand, so you should be thankful. Even if your request was rejected, the parent still took the time to consider your request. Just saying a simple, thank you for listening, is not that hard, and it may increase your chances the next time. 

     Depending on how it is requested, one can get things that they normally wouldn't. When asking for a favor, give clear facts to why you need something, provide the person with something favorable, and always be polite. If you do this next time the answer might be yes.

Christmas Eve

 

Snowflakes are trickling and lights are twinkling. The city is painted in red and green lights that brighten the tranquil night. Christmas Eve enchants the city with laughter, joy and excitement. People are hasty to finish their preparations. Fresh meat and vegetables are bought for an extravagant dinner and presents and decorations are bought to rejoice this symbolic event.

People walk in and out of shops in competition to buy a spectacular cake for this occasion. People rush into the shops to buy the cake of their choice before they are sold off to other families. Sometimes, only the sample pictures of the most elaborately designed cakes are left on the empty shelves because they have already been sold out. Even in the supermarket, people push their trolleys from aisle to aisle to buy the best ingredients for the special dinner. After ensuring that the ingredients are fresh, they head home for other preparations need to be completed.

At home, all the women in the family start working in the kitchen to make immense amounts of food that will probably be too much to finish. While the mother does most of the cooking, the children will assist her with the easy tasks such as boiling potatoes and chopping onion. The mother is usually always the busy one who flurries around the kitchen seasoning and marinating the main meal. The smell of chicken, beef, patty, cooked vegetables and other delicacies rises through the chimney tops and intoxicates the whole town.

Meanwhile, after helping in the kitchen, the children will help decorate the house with delicate ornaments and fancy accessories. First, a handful of stockings are hung on the fireplace. Some families would hang more stockings in aspiration for more luck and if not, more presents. Second, the Christmas tree is gently placed in the living room. The children place the Christmas lights that spark in various colors around the tree. Not satisfied enough, they would decorate it with Christmas ornaments, decorations cut out from colored paper and most importantly, a gold star above the tree. Now that the decoration is complete, the sweet smell of cooked food creep into the living room. The children follow the smell into the dining hall to find the dinner table already set. Families from around the town gather around their dining table in glee. Some say our prayers, some sing carols and some dig straight into their food.

After dinner, all the members of the family help each other carry the empty plates back into the kitchen. Cleaning up is always the exhausting part of big events. However, it is all worth it for the presents that will be awaiting beneath the tree the next day.

           Writing well is a difficult task to almost every people. This is due to the difference between writing and thinking. Thinking can be conducted abstractly, but describing one's idea and putting it into words is about different level. When it is about writing in a foreign language, things get harder. There are numerous mistakes to improve on an amateur writer's writing. According to what skill one prioritizes when writing, some will study grammar or study essay structures to write well. The most important thing above all the other qualities that an amateur writer should develop, I think, is the ability to deliver proper contents.

           Ability to deliver proper contents seems like an abstract concept. To be specific, it is about improving one's ability of choosing the right word to describe one's idea. Word choice is a very important skill. From my own perspective, grammar problem is not much of a deal. Native speakers also make grammatical mistakes when they speak or write. Some minor mistakes can be ignored. Even spelling mistakes are not important. If one is going to write a professional essay, one can bring it up on professors and ask them to check it. There is another option as the people living in a highly technologically developed society. We can run an editing program. Taking a grammar course and memorizing all exceptions and correct vocabularies is not needed because spelling check and grammar check can do our job partly. If a person is not a tremendously horrible writer, running the program and getting one's writing edited will ease native speakers' grammar check sensor. As most natives do, they do not expect foreigners to follow complete grammar rules. Also, there is a limit for a spell check program and grammar check program and this is why people have to develop their skill of proper word choice. The programs do not understand the concept of nuance. For instance, a person was going to write "The suspect's lie was detected." However, what the person actually wrote was "The suspect's lie was realized." The meaning does not seem to differ that much since both words mean "knowing." Nevertheless, there is a definite difference between detecting and realizing. The spelling is correct, the spell check program will not fix the word. However, it will confuse readers and distract them from understanding one's writing properly.

           Different word choice sometimes changes the meaning of a sentence. A wrong word choice will hinder readers' understanding more than wrong grammar use or spelling mistakes. As an amateur writer, developing the skill to choose proper words will help improve one's writing.

How to write well 

Writing is an art that comes in various forms, styles and colors. We use writing to complete the simplest tasks, such as "tweeting" or sending an email to a friend. Or, for more complex reasons, such as academic writing, research papers and more. Overall, it is without a doubt that writing is essential to communicate ideas and thoughts to the audience which is why the vast majority endeavor to write well. Not all of us might be able to write like Stephen Kings, Agatha Christie or J.K Rowling, but our writing can be improved with practice. The most important factors to write well are simplicity, organization and edit.

The most important step to good writing is simplicity. The first objective of any writing is for the message to be delivered clearly and concisely. Yet, many people overuse adjectives, adverbs and fancy terms in writing to look 'sophisticated' and 'smart'. This is one of the biggest mistakes that amateur writers make but it is not the best approach to good writing. Long sentences with unnecessary vocabulary and repetitive phrases can look ugly and become more complicated than it looks. Readers often get exhausted and stray from the main point of long and complicated writing. Hence, clear statements that are simple and short are the most effective in writing.

Another important factor of good writing is organization. Good connection of ideas and a consistent flow of connotation within the writing is important for readers to understand the logic behind the writing. Writing with coherent arguments is a means of convincing people. In good writing, it is easy to follow what the writer is stating because the statements are supported by solid arguments throughout the writing. Therefore, organized paragraphs and distinctive topic sentences with specific examples or explanations are essential.

Lastly, self-edit is imperative in writing. Editing is a good practice to improve writing skills. Editing is essential because everyone, including professional writers, make mistakes in their first draft.  Writers can learn common mistakes they make in their writing and form a habit of fixing them. People can spend hours opening and studying grammar books, but the more efficient way of fixing errors is practicing how to edit your own work. It builds self-awareness and in time and practice, better sentence structures and paragraphs can be formed.

In conclusion, writing is difficult and time consuming. There are indefinite ways to convey a single statement to the audience. However, the three most important steps to better writing is keeping things simple, polishing the work by editing and maintaining a good organization of coherent ideas.

What's important to get writing right

  The writer in something similar to the Creator, because he creates his own world and allows him to see the rest. Each had experience in writing. I will share my little experience gained while studying at school and at university. Criticism and comments while reading my works from teachers, parents, friends unpleasant, but very useful. It is important to learn to accept it and ponder about it. Then, with the new acquired knowledge to start writing again.

  No matter what you're writing - essays, novels, or poetry, but this work should characterize you, your perceptions, your outlook, your knowledge and your potential. The main problem in determining the key point is the inability of a short, but competent presentation of thoughts. As a rule, we try to speak in a circumlocutory manner. We should not do it, because a lot of unnecessary information in your work will not be dignity of your work, it will be a disadvantage.

 Better to use a simple, but at the same time a good, competent, high-quality language. Good to have in your work more adjectives, adverbs and synonyms. Then your work will be memorable and "beautiful" in the lexical and grammatical side. And I think good advice is to read more and write more. During the reading of books, articles and stories you can find even imperceptible detail. This detail can give inspiration to write draft of poem, essay, short story, or even books.

  First we can write keywords. For example, to write the theme of the narrative, the reason why I want to tell, the moment of action, the scene, the participants of action, an action that will occur and what it all resulted in the aftermath. Working on the draft, not necessarily comply with the rules of writing. You can start and write from the end, and from the middle.

  I'm not perfect in writing and I will have a lot to learn, because I am pleased to take any useful advice. Maybe studying the article, practicing essay writings, showing tenacity and perseverance to improve creative writing, once even anyone of us will take in hand own published book.

Every student, who attends this class, pursue their own goals, but all of us have the same one - being a perfect essay writer. The internet sources suggest no end of advice to get writing well. Here I am representing my own tips, which include the main components of a good essay.

In my opinion, the most important thing in the essay is the content. A good writer must correctly express their idea. I am sure if a person does not have copious vocabulary of the language they think in, it will be difficult to communicate the idea to a conversation partner. So to get your message across enlarge your own vocabulary. Taking into consideration, that all of us non-native speakers, in addition, we should increase English word-stock. The easiest way for me to achieve it is reading books of English writers in the original language, Harry Potter, Agatha Christie's detectives, and Jane Austen's novels will really help you: turn of phrase of each creation is easy-to-interpret, unknown words overflew from the first to the last page, and plot, of course, is breathtaking. Also, watching movies with English subtitles, listening English songs, and talking to a person in English will play a big role in enhance your vocabulary. But there will be no use for knowledge of all words you learned  by these routes, if you do not know how to chain them into a sentence.

Grammar is perhaps one of the most complicated aspects of language learning. It may be similar to the related languages, but it is unique in every language. You can study English grammar by using special books, but try not to be limited by only this. Not all learners can find time to attend courses, but do not forget that we are living in century of computer technology, so you can watch a plenty of videos in YouTube, and talk to a interlocutor  in Chat Roulette and so on to be able to use rules in real life.  Grammar can also be difficult by the reason that there is sometimes no equivalent of a specific rule in your own language, and you have nothing to compare, and the one way is to learn it by heart and consolidate knowledge through practice again and again.

What is a good piece of writing?

A good essay arouses readers' attention and engages them into the author's story. It can make a strong impression on the readers or even change their notion. This is why many people, whether he or she is a professional writer or a mere college student, are interested in mastering their crafts of writing. Therefore, there are three rules which I believe important that students can follow to make a good piece of writing; organizing well, getting feedback, and writing over.

Student writers tend to make irrelevant sentences as they go through paragraphs. A good piece of writing should be well organized. The basic format would be introduction, body, and conclusion. With this basic rule, a writer can include his own idea and supporting details. Whether the subject is stale or not does not matter if a writer can make his own point. This way, he or she can turn an ordinary to a fine piece of writing.

There are some types of writing which are kept for the writers themselves, but most of the writings are written to be read. For most student writers, it is hard to elaborate an excellent writing without other people's help. For example, even professional writers ask for some help from their peers before publishing their work. So it is important to get feedback from peers or instructors who actually know how to write. Through this process, a writer can get an objective view over his or her work.

In addition to getting feedback, revising is also an important factor in writing. It is even better to take some time and write over his or her work several times. For example, after finishing the first draft, rewrite in a few days and then in a weeks. This method is quite helpful in that people easily fall in love with their work that they sometimes miss the point or give wordy explanations and never find out their mistake.

It is hard for most of students to write a full page of essay. I myself started to write 500-word essay from middle school. However, it is still hard to come up with the topic and even start a word. Therefore, following the organizing rules, getting advice from instructors, and revising several times are essential.

Practice and Planning are the key                       When learning a new language, writing in that speech can be the most easy task or the most challenging work. Because the difference between a good writing and a bad one is so clear, and that writing evaluates one's level of grammar, vocabulary and even thinking abilities, writing can be an effective tool in measuring in one's language ability. Deep knowledge of grammar, extensive level of vocabulary, or fancy sentences can be all important elements of a good writing. However, to be a good writer, the two most fundamental but crucial factors are practice and planning.            To begin with, practice is an effective method of improving the quality of one's writing. As mentioned above, grammar, word choice and sentence structures are all important factors to an excellent piece of writing. However, such components cannot be obtained by simple memorization. After reading well-written essays or literature works, writers may know a lot of vocabulary, grammatical knowledge or good sentences only in their heads. However, it does not mean that they are able to apply them in to their own. Rather it is through repetitive writing that truly turns the elements in to their own. At first, using advanced words and sentence structures may not be easy as the writer is not familiar with applying them in a writing. However, after a number of practice of writing using the same vocabulary, grammar and sentences, one is able to fully utilize such factors into their writing later one. Hence, as there is a saying "practice makes perfect", the same applies to writing.            In addition, careful planning is also an useful advice for student writers. A good writing is not only about its outer look which includes vocabulary and grammar. Rather, what differentiates an excellent work from a poor one is its content and ideas. An essay that frequently deviates from its topic is a poor one whereas the essay that adheres to its original topic according to a logical flow is the excellent one. In order to come up with an excellent work, it is important for student writers to carefully plan before writing. For instance, brainstorming is a good method to come up with ideas. After devising a topic, outlining helps writers to create a logical flow, excluding any chance of going off-topic. Finally, only after confirming that the outline is logically coherent and have a clear structure, they can move on to work on their final writing. Therefore, students should spend considerable amount of time on planning, brainstorming and outlining in order to improve on the quality of their writing.            Repetitive practice and thorough planning are some tips for student writers to get their writing right. By following the two Ps, students should be able to significantly enhance the level of their writing. If one possesses a high level of writing abilities, it can also mean that his or her overall mastery of the language is also high.

                     Important things to  get writing right

     Writing is one of the most useful ability for students. When you can write interesting others are  communicate with you. When you only start write is normal to do some mistakes. Everybody do it.

    When you are writer you need to have an imagine, to be individual and brave, ready to do mistakes and correct them. I think that your knowing could help to others so you should be able to express it right. And very important do not plagiarize because it's foul using another work.  And plagiarism is not welcome among professors, readers, students. If you have time to find, read and copy another's work it means that you had time to think and write yourself. Of course to copy is very easy but absolutely useless. Another important thing is creativity. To achieve this goal you should read more and more. Only this way you can become a great writer. And it doesn't matter essay or autobiography. If you don't know what to write just relax, breathe and go walking. It can be helpful. Before you start writing you should to know more about the main problem of your essay. Read some articles, books, search in Internet. It's all can be very useful. One of the biggest problems facing writers of all kinds is figuring out how to start. Rather than staring at a blank screen until it's burned into your retinas trying to think of something  profound to open your paper with, skip the introduction and jump in at paragraph two. You can always come back and write another paragraph at the top when you're done. How you can see there are some rules and problems with writing but anyway you should write more and more. Practise is irreplaceable part of studying to get writing right. As you write more as you learn to express your thoughts.

   Actually I'm not a good writer myself and I don't know this feeling to be proud of your essay e.g. It's all my opinion, not more. But I think that if you want to become a good writer you can do it. Only if you will practice and try to be good.

The Importance of Brainstorming

 

     When writing, everybody has certain factors they feel are important, and want to emphasize while writing. In writing there are numerous factors ranging from not having any  grammar mistakes to using a wide range of vocabulary. However, I believe to get writing right, the most important factor is brainstorming.

 

     When I write, I tend to brainstorm my ideas before writing. When I brainstorm, I do not think about grammar errors, or specific vocabulary words I will use. I usually only focus on the ideas, and write simple words, or phrases on the subject. Brainstorming prior to writing is a superb technique people can use to enhance their writings. 

 

     One of the most common problems student writers face with is getting off topic as they write their essay. If one brainstorms their ideas, and has a brief idea of how their writings will flow, this problem can be easily fixed. Another problem students have while writing is they get wordy. In most cases, this is because they have nothing more to say half way through their writing forcing themselves to repeat what they already said and attempting to fill up the remaining space, or word count hoping their reader won't know. Through brainstorming, one will already know ahead of time how much they can talk about a subject. By realizing ahead of time, one can choose to either discard that topic and write on something else, think more about what information to add, or do extra research on the topic through methods such as but not limited to finding reliable sources like quotations or studies to reduce wordiness, and give more detail. Brainstorming can become very handy in writings that require one to take a side. For example, if one has to right either for or against slavery, it is recommended to write out the pros and cons before writing, and choose the side that one has more to write about. It is encouraged that one takes the time to lay out their ideas before writing.  

 

     Although brainstorming is very effective, and can enhance writing drastically, there are a few downsides to it. One of them, and probably the most common reason why the brainstorming process is usually discarded is that it can be very time consuming. In cases where there is very limited time, students often feel pressured to finish the writing, and think they do not have the time to brainstorm. Another reason why brainstorming is not often used is people find it unnecessary. A lot of people think they can just write with the ideas that come to their mind, and often don't feel the need to brainstorm.

 

 

     A writing professor once told me that if you had one hour to write, you should spend ten minutes thinking about the subject, twenty minutes brainstorming, 20 minutes writing, and 10 minutes revising. Although it may seem like a waste of one's time, brainstorming is truly effective in enhancing the quality of one's writing.

My dirty secret

There is a saying, 'it takes a lifetime to know a person completely'. Even if that person is someone close by, such as your parents, your lover or your best friend, it is difficult to know every aspect of one's life or character. Everyone has secrets that they may not want to disclose or never got the chance to tell. As for myself, I have a secret that I am planning to share in this writing.  

I have a lot of hobbies including watching movies, socializing, traveling, reading movie and book critics and more. However, the truth is, I have another hobby that was always subject to secrecy. That is, I love cleaning. Some people, especially men, may consider cleaning as a daily chore, not a hobby. However, I consider cleaning as one of the best hobbies anyone can have. It's not that I have an obsession with hygiene, but I really enjoy the exercise of dusting, sweeping and wiping. Cleaning is a good way of feeling self-satisfaction and claiming superiority. Thus, it is an efficient way of relieving my stress. I never got to reveal this secret because people might find it bizarre and generally no one says that cleaning is their hobby. However, now that the secret is out, I would like to say that there has been many upsides to having this hobby. Cleaning has helped me to stay organized, heighten my concentration and feel the satisfaction of eliminating a task from my to-do-list.

Everyone have different tastes and interests that may be unacceptable to others. I admit, cleaning is a unique hobby. Despite conflicting opinions on this matter, I think that tidying is one of the most enjoyable and helpful hobbies that I enjoy to do.

Regardless of significance or level of privacy, all of us have our own secrets. People may not disclose them because they do not wish to or they do not feel the need to. My name is Lee Dong hyun, a second grade student majoring in Chinese. However this is a fact that everyone can easily find out. When people look at me, the first impression I give is that I am a quiet person who likes to read books and study. Even though I am a quiet individual, piece information that I would like to reveal about myself is that I am very fond of singing.            Singing has not always been my hobby and interest. When I was young, I was not really attracted to going to 'karaoke' because I was embarrassed to sing in front of others. It was not until I got into college when I developed an interest in singing. During my first year, I joined my department's singing club. I have never thought that I was a decent singer, but after hearing from my classmates that I had soft voice, I gained confidence about singing. As a result, I volunteered to participate in singing performances as much as possible. For instance, last year during the school's fall festival, our singing club participated in a singing contest which won us the second prize. After a year in this club activity, I really felt that I have spent a satisfactory college year.            Normally, I would not have revealed such fact about myself. As a shy person, I am not inclined to tell others of my hobby. Nevertheless, since singing is a great hobby of mine, I am proud to share my story with others.

Insignificant?

 

     As time passes, the amount of information one may choose not to reveal will most likely accumulate. People will hide information from others, and prefer to take it to their graves because it will hurt either their own reputation, or someone else's reputation. However, there are cases where people unintentionally hide information. They do not intend to keep it a secret, but they do not feel it is significant to talk about that matter. As in my case, of adopting two dogs. 

 

 

     Due to the evolution of technology, people are able to access a variety of information within a short period of time. Nowadays, people even post their everyday lives on facebook allowing others to have real time data on what someone has been up to lately. However, I personally do not see the point of writing on facebook. Consequently, no one knows that I adopted two dogs five months ago. One of the dogs  is a four month old male german shepherd, and the other is a five month old female golden retriever. As dog lovers will know, these dogs will grow to be bigger than an average male, and it will be extremely difficult to raise them in an apartment. Knowing this, I have already arranged to give  the dogs to my friend who lives in a house with grass on March 14. Perhaps that is why I chose not to tell anybody that I am currently raising two dogs.

 

 

     Lincoln Chafee once said, "In the world of diplomacy, some things are better left unsaid." Some tales are not told because it is a secret, others are not told because they did not feel the need to. Whatever the reason may be, some information to not be revealed. After all, wouldn't there be reason why that information was left unknown to others in the first place?

My name is Serikkyzy Meruert, I was born on the 16th of December in 1994, which means I am 20years old now.

I can say that I am a responsible and a hard-working student. Moreover, being a sociable person, I have many friends since I like to communicate with people and get to know new interesting individuals. I enjoy my time at school: it is really nice to study and the students are very friendly and ready to help. The atmosphere cannot but make me want to go there every time. I like to receive and deal with challenging tasks. I am a very enthusiastic student and I think this is a strong point of mine.

My friends say that I am a very funny and an interesting girl with a good sense of humor. As soon as I meet new people who are happy to meet me, I feel extremely comfortable with them. I believe that friendship is one of the most important values in human life. We exchange new ideas, find many interesting things about each other and experience new things. I appreciate friendship and people who surround me.

Some interests I have got are; reading books, watching movies, cooking and praying. I love to read books, because books can always be true friends. They never demand neither do they complain. This is the way I look upon books. Mostly I read novels. Currently I am reading a novel called "The Blind Assasin".

Moving on to favourite movies; Titanic, Romeo & Juliet, Crash, Twilight. Basically the list can go on and on. I must be up to date with the latest movies.

Cooking has been a huge interest of mine. My mom's a great cook- especially in asian cooking. I think I have got it from her. From my point of view, having learned how to cook, makes a persons life much easier.

Then last but not least I love praying. I pray as much as I can. Being a muslim and not praying, just doesn't go together, so that is why I pray. I also feel that whenever I pray, it helps me getting forward and achieving more and more.
