Edward Yom/ Qualified?/ Tues 5~6

My dream job is to become an acupuncturist. At first glance, for a student who is majoring in translation and interpretation to become an acupuncturist would be very difficult. However, I am almost qualified to become an acupuncturist. Although I have to pursue another education in the oriental field for around six years, I meet the necessary requirements to become an acupuncturist like communicating effectively with people and finding a job

To begin, I possess the necessary requirements to communicate effectively with my patients. First, I have enhanced communication skills learned through translation and interpretation which requires the knowledge of conveying a similar message in many different ways depending on the target audience. I am also able to speak fluently in both English and Korean giving me the option to treat foreign patients effectively. Next, I have a passion for working with people. Being an extrovert who is interested in psychology, I enjoy talking to people and I want to aid them. I feel pleasure in helping somebody overcome their hardships. When I become an acupuncturist, I will meet people who are not in their prime condition because they are sick. Five years ago, I decided to become an acupuncturist after I saw one of my dad's patients. There was a chubby woman with short brown hair and orange glasses dragging her right leg while limping with her left leg with a frown on their face moving an inch at a time. After she received treatment for two weeks, her face brightened and she was able to walk properly. Finally, I am able to understand people well. Judging by a person's gait and facial expression, I can make a fairly accurate educated guess on what is bothering them. Usually, the patients will just say their stomach hurts. From there, I am usually able to tell if it hurts because they have an upset stomach, if they are suffering from enteritis, or if it is caused by a different virus.

I am slightly behind when it comes to certification requirements. I will have to spend at least six years in attaining a a doctor of medicine degree. Most acupuncture programs require students to have an additional bachelor's degree. Different schools have different requirements thus may accept a variety of degrees in different fields including translation. I may get lucky and they may accept my degree in translation and interpretation. However, I may have to undergo extra studying. In addition to that, I have to pass the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine exam to become certified and recognized as a licensed acupuncturist. It is crucial to go through this procedure since it is required to pass the test is necessary to practice acupuncture and oriental medicine legally. This procedure may take a long time, but I am at an advantage over other students in Korea. I do not have to do military service since I have an American citizenship. Usually the military service takes a littles less than two years, but because the time of the military and school collide, most of the students takes two years and a semester off.

The remaining advantage I have is that I do not have to worry about getting a job. My dad own's a hospital, and I am planning on inheriting it when I become an acupuncturist. Our family on my dad's side has been working in the medical field for four generations. My great grandfather is a doctor, my grandfather is an oriental doctor, my dad is also an oriental doctor, and my uncles are a psychiatrists and chiropractic therapists. I will work at the hospital that my dad owns with the skills learned from my grandfather. If I get a license for it, my uncles said they would be happy to teach what they know. Most of the patients in my dad's hospital do not live near, and came all the way to receive treatment from him. It would be difficult to build this sort of relationship and credibility right away. However, I think this process would be easier than those who start from scratch.

Although I may seem far behind just looking at the education I have left, I am actually qualified thanks to my background, and my major. Through the studies I have accomplished so far, I am able to understand the problems my clients may be having, help my clients understand their current situation, and build an intimate relationship with my clients. In addition, I have a guaranteed future where I can further better myself easily learning the information that my family had to work to understand. Overall, I think I am qualified for my dream job.

Darina Yerezhepova, Tue 5/6, Classification Essay Why you are not qualified for your dream job

DREAM JOB: REALITY or MYTH

I strongly believe all people want money to appear as if by magic. So they do not have to spend whole life to survive and can enjoy the full life. Since I was a child my dream job has changed from a ballerina to a theoretical physicist, but they can not guarantee financial independent. That is why I opted  for a private entrepreneur. Unfortunately, instead of setting up and materializing plans, I am studying Korean at the university even though it is not useful for me. There are several things that keep me away from my dreams: the mentality of Kazakh people, a big amount of money I need and lack of self-confident.

The main thing among them is the mentality of our people. Family, where children after finishing school do not enter the university and start working is considered to be a dysfunctional family. And in contrast a girl who stage-by-stage finishes school, enters the university, graduate it and marries provides an example of good upbringing and as a consequence let parents be proud of their child. In our country, social roles of male and females are classical as in almost societies, which means man is a breadwinner and woman is a domestic goddess. So any violation of the tenor of such life is not regarded as a natural phenomenon. Professions which is time-consuming can disturb a balance of mother-child relationship and are not encouraged by either men or women.

The second thing is a big start-up capital needed first of all for collecting documents and setting up.  By our laws, you must collect so many documents that I think it is much easier to do it illegally. And it stands to reason that if you want to open not just beer stand near you own house you should have a big budget. Expenses like leasing of premises, state duty, employment, etc. drain purse before you can say knife. And all this is a disabling burden for an 18-year-old girl, who just gets her drive license. Our government gives the opportunity for people to become financially independent by giving low-interest loans but in fact government prefers helping adults since they adhere the opinion that youth do not have credibility.

The last thing that does not let me achieve my goals is the lack of self-confidence, which appeared I think because of fear to face all these difficulties. I can not even imagine how many opportunities were missed because of fear of failure, being ridiculed, not equaling hopes of your family and friends.

Summing up above, there are a lot of answers to the question why I am not qualifying for my dream job. They can not be solved in simple and effective way. Nevertheless, as the author  Paul Arden said it's better to regret what you have done than what you haven't.

Gaeyon Lee/Three Keys to My Successful Career Path

Three Keys to My Successful Career Path

It was always language that intrigued me the most throughout my school years. Then it was Computational Linguistics chapter in 'Introduction to English Linguistics' course in the first semester at university. After changing my dream job like a hundred times, I think I finally found something really meaningful, to work at one of the IT (Information Technology) companies as a Computational Linguist. To become one, knowledge of both computer and language, problem solving skills and creativity to make a new device are crucial.

First key to my successful career path is knowledge of both computer and language. Computer Engineering Department in my school provides courses such as Discrete Mathematics and Programming Language which are all necessary studies for a Computational Linguist. And in English Linguistics Department, there are courses such as Phonetics and Pragmatics which are all crucial for the profession as well. As I took the basic introduction courses whether if they are literature or interpretation courses when I was a freshman last year, I should more focus on linguistics courses.

Also, problem solving skill is important property for the job. Debugging and making a program more refined are primary jobs of a Computational Linguist. Problem solving skill is closely related to mathematics and it was one of my favorite subjects throughout my school years. However, Computer Engineering Department in my school does not provide mathematics course. Instead, it provides various kinds of computer language courses and constant practice of arranging a program in those courses can also be a great help when developing problem solving skills.

Lastly, creativity is also one of the crucial properties of Computational Linguist. After carefully indentified bugs in a program, linguists should come up with a device or program that includes new features and fits consumer's needs. It's hard to say that there are definite ways to develop creativity. I believe creativity comes with a constant practice as in the third paragraph. It is helpful to practice the examples in the programming book and make one's own program. Also, paying attention to the consumer's current needs is also necessary part in creating a practical program.

I found my dream of becoming a Computational Linguist through constant consideration. To be successful in my desired career path, studying computer programming and linguistics, developing problem solving skills and creativity to come up with a new device are crucial.

Darina Yerezhepova, Tue 5/6, Classification Essay Why you are not qualified for your dream job

Dream job: reality or myth?

As I remember there were a lot of variants of the future profession ranging from ballerina to theoretical physicist since I was a child. I strongly believe all people want money to appear from nothing as if by magic. So they do not have to spend whole life to survive and can enjoy the full life. A private entrepreneur is one of the occupation which can provide this. There are several things that keep me away from my dreams: the mentality of the society I live in, a big amount of money I need and lack of self-confident.

The main thing among them is the mentality of our people. Family, where children after finishing school do not enter the university and start working is considered to be a dysfunctional family. Seoung Hee Yoo, Why you are not qualified for your dream job, Tues56

Dream jobs are essential for everyone. They are named the way it is because it allows people to surpass their limitations and fantasize what they will be doing in the future. It motivates people to self-develop, reach their potential and pursue higher goals. Although some are successful at getting their dream jobs, the fact is, they mostly wind up to be only dreams. The reason is, most people are not qualified for their dream jobs. My dream job is to become a marketing manager for Google. For a second, it seems almost possible but after a close self-evaluation, I do not reach the requirements for my dream job.

The biggest restriction I have is that, I neither have a degree in marketing or a degree in any close relation to marketing. The minimum education for many companies is a four-year degree. Despite the fact that I fulfilled this requirement, the sad truth is that companies will prefer someone who has studied marketing. This is a dilemma for students, especially in Korea, who endeavor to attend the best university regardless of their major. They realize that it is difficult to get a job in the field they have a passion for and eventually, are forced to take another path. Of course, employees get trained and educated for the job they are hired for which means it is possible for anyone without a four-year degree in marketing to work in the marketing department. However, the major of one's degree play an important role which is why I am not qualified for my dream job.

Another reason for my lack of competence to become a marketing manager is that I do not have the required leadership skills. During my university years, I wasn't given the chance to do a lot of team projects or teamwork activities to help build teamwork or leadership skills which are essential for a marketing manager. I am used to working independently, writing reports or essays and doing research which are also important abilities, but do not meet the full criteria to become a marketing manager. Furthermore, the question as to whether leadership skills can be taught or learned is debatable. Tips or advice on how to be an effective leader can be helpful, but I believe these skills are essentially built from experience. Therefore, I do not have one of the most important skills to be a manager.

There are many aspects that I lack competence in, however, it does not mean that my dream job is unrealistic or unachievable. Although I do not have a degree in marketing, I can try to get certificates in marketing, or hope to get a job in marketing in a small startup company where there is less competition. Leadership skills can be built over time through years of experience or by participating in volunteer projects.

In conclusion, there are many reasons why I am not qualified for my dream job. Like any other, I do not fit the profile to be a marketing manager and lack many skills and requirements to reach my goals. However, no one is perfect from the beginning as it comes from practice. People can overcome these hurdles as long as they have determination and patience.

Bayakhmetova Bibinur/Do I qualify for a dream job?/Tues 5-6

There is one important psychological feature. What is important to be happy? It is the family, love, work, etc. But if the work is unloved the family, love and friendship suffer. People become miserable.
There are people who are not decided on the things they love or doubts that it will be like him whole life. Someone does not see any sense in their work and do not want to make efforts to uninspired work. Someone does not believe that he is really good in this business and does not know their strengths so they hesitate to offer their services for money. Others want to work on the their dream job, but do not know how to sell themselves Probably it is the most common reasons that people do not earn on your favorite business
As for me, I have not yet found their job, their mission, and work in pleasure. But that does not mean that I do not want to work. I have no plans for the future. I plan to work on a specialty in one of the Korean companies in my native land in Kazakhstan and I believe that there I will like my job and I will be engaged in favorite work. Why did not I do it now? I consider I am not ready to work in this company because I do not have sufficient training and experience in the work. At the moment I am a third year student and perhaps I am going to study for two more years. Maybe it's not a reason not to work, but in order to get started you need to be skilled in a field where you want to start working.
There are aspects on which I know that I will be a good worker at my dream job. One of them is if I'm going to do in my life only that in which is my destiny. The second is that if I'm going to have a harmonious family. And it would be good to earn money in a way that is necessary for the soul. And very important for me to live exactly where I want. I would like to be in full harmony with the world around I.
People should do that they like. In other words, should only be engaged in favorite business. It is only from this work they will experience a sense of the bright and happy moments in their lives. It is the only way to achieve harmony with the world and fully enjoy this life. In other words, we can say that a hobby, for which you will receive money, will lead you to happiness.

HuangKunyang/why you are not qualified for your dream job/Tue.56

why you are not qualified for your dream job

Everyone has his dream job, but if everyone all get his dream job, can all do

it? Not necessarily, why? The reason is simple, the most of people do not reach

qualifications for their dream job. Because if you want to do your dream job, your  conditions in different areas also must be required, like this, you maybe have the

ability to finish this job perfectly.

The most basic condition is education. Education is a prerequisite for finding a

job, and everyone knows that when you find job, the interviewer first must ask you what's your education and what's your professional major. If you do not have the

most basic education, there is no doubt that the interviewer must be disregarded, only

if you had a strong ability and capability district and convince interviewer asks you

to stay. Otherwise, all are useless. Besides, if you have a good higher education, you

will find certainly work closer to your dream job. Good education is a prerequisite

for finding a good job.

Networking is the most important resource of modern society. If you own

favorite work, but lacking of resources. It is also a very troublesome thing. Because you can't get resources you can make use of. Why do have many things need to be finished by most of people? The problem is that everyone has not absolute resources to available, individual resource is limited, the old saying: "A sincere friendship is too expensive to buy with the most valuable treasure. It is easy to live when we have many friends." this is the truth. When you have a large network of resources, anything is so smooth and natural thing.

The ability is the most important for finding job. Besides , the ability divides into

personal ability and cooperate ability. If a person has not any ability, he is a useless

person. Personal ability emphasis on personal skills, work skills, independence and so on. Cooperate ability emphasizes teamwork, cooperate with good or bad decisions the

likelihood of success. Modern times, cooperate ability has higher demand than personal ability. People will cooperate to accomplish great things. A little cooperation all can  make success. Alibaba corporation is the result of cooperation team.

In a short, a good work certainly need harsh conditions. Talents can perform a good job. Basic education, networking all are not a major problem, the key problem is weather you have outstanding ability. Good ability can exercise a good talent and

cast success. I recommended that everyone can develop your unique skills in ability

training. Because it is need that you qualified for your dream job.

However, although I have to pursue another education in the oriental field that may take around six years, I am almost qualified for my job.

There are many skills that are necessary to attain in order to become an acupuncturist. First, I need good hand-eye coordination, steady hands, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with people. Of the above skills, I have relatively good hand-eye coordination although I have to work on steady hands. Being an extrovert who is interested in psychology and majoring in translation and interpretation, I am actually at an advantage when it comes to having excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with people. Most acupuncture programs require students to have a bachelor's degree, but there are school that accept a variety of degrees in different fields. Do I qualify for a dream job?/ Tuesday 5,6/ Lee Dong hyun

Qualifications of a dream job

Nowadays as the competition in the job becomes fierce than ever, it takes a lot of preparation to obtain a dream job. It requires not only enthusiasm and passion towards the career but also job-related experience, knowledge and expertise. My dream job is not yet specified but what I would like to do in the future is to work in a foreign company situated in Korea. I believe I am somewhat qualified to achieve this goal by observing three aspects: ability, background but still lack in having related experience.

The most obvious but one of the most important requirement to work in a foreign company is that one must be skilled at speaking in other languages; most likely in English. Since the company itself is foreign and that the employers are also likely to be foreigners, the ability to communicate in English is crucial. Speaking with other foreigners regarding business transaction and writing documents in English are all daily duties in foreign companies Considering such circumstances, I believe I am qualified for such position. I have lived abroad for almost seven years in New Zealand and in the United States which created a strong foundation for me to learn English. Also, having taken multiple English tests such as TOEFL, TOEIC, TEPS and American tests such as SAT and ACT, reading, listening, speaking and writing in English has become comfortable for me. Due to my language abilities, the goal of working in a foreign company in Korea has become closer.

In addition, the ability to adapt to foreign environment is also an important factor. Foreign companies have different characteristics compared to Korean business both in working environment and cultural aspect. For instance, while Korean companies emphasize group work and hierarchy foreign companies put more importance on individual activities. Groups are only formed when needed and normally, employees would work alone. For those who are accustomed to Korean culture, they may be anxious and even reluctant to work alone as each of them will be responsible for their own results. However, I am not afraid to work alone. Rather, I prefer individual activities since I do not have to look out for others or engage in conflicts with my team. However, it is not to say that I do not work with others. When working in a group, I try to cooperate as much as I could while asserting my own views. Such mindset may be due to my cultural background where I have spent a considerable amount of time abroad and learn foreign culture and live in Korea to take in its own values.

However, when it comes to experience, I am not yet qualified. Unlike Korean companies which recruit those with little or no experience, foreign businesses prefer to hire those who possess experience related to its field. Workers with related job experiences are able to be deployed into actual business activities without much education. As still a sophomore in college who has not yet decided on which company to set goal for, I have very little work experiences. However, after completing my second year along with my military service, I will actively seek out for internships and related job experiences by participating in multiple job contests.

In conclusion, my goal in the future is to work in foreign companies in Korea. Companies such as Microsoft, Google, 3Ms are all fascinating companies and I believe I am at a fairly right start by possessing high foreign language abilities as well understanding in different cultural background. However as I still lack in experiences, I am not fully ready. As there is a saying 'time is gold', I will use my time efficiently in filling what I do not have to achieve my objective.

Gayeon Lee/Is Downloading and Sharing Music off the Internet Illegal?

Is Downloading and Sharing Music off the Internet Illegal?

I used to download music off the internet for free when I was younger. However, I don't do it anymore because my computer teacher told me not to and if I do, the police will come and arrest me. It was pretty scary at that time, but reconsidering it now, should sharing music off the Internet really be illegal? I don't think so because of these three reasons: Sharing does not exactly mean that copyright holders are losing their ownerships, most sharers do not make a profit of their doing, and sharing itself does not cause copyright holder's monetary loss.

First of all, as Professor mentioned, taking other's intellectual property without permission and robbing actual goods are entirely different matters. When you rob someone's tangible property, that person no longer can touch or use it, which means he or she is actually losing it. However, when it comes to intellectual property, which is intangible, the owner still has the idea on his or her mind and can listen to it whenever and wherever the owner wantsif it's music is the issue. This special quality that intellectual property has, unlike other ones, makes downloading and sharing music off the Internet hard to be considered illegal.

There are some people who take unjustified profits from sharing music off the Internet. In this case, it is beyond dispute that they are wrong and have to be punished under strict law. However, most Internet sharers, who that I know of, do not require money from the people who download the music, or make a profit from doing so. People upload the latest music files on the Internet and users just click the download button and the process is done in a minute. Nevertheless, it is true that there are some people who

It is important to acknowledge the songwriters' copyright for their creativity and endeavor. However, I believe that citizens of the Internet age also have the right to access intellectual properties. In this era, almost everything is connected with each other via Internet, which makes access to the Internet and to its data more important than ever. Thus, protecting copyrighter's right only causes violation of the citizen's right to share ideas.

To argue that downloading music online for free as illegal is not convincing and considering it illegal does more harm than good. Sharing music files does not mean that the copyrighters can no longer listen to their music, which is quite different matter with robbing the actual goods. Also, many Internet sharers do not make a profit from sharing the files. Finally, citizens in this Internet era have right to access intellectual properties freely.

Seung Hyun Kang/Thinking Property/Tues 5,6

Thinking Property

You can sell your idea. Intellectual property law makes it possible. Once you thought of something spectacular and made something out of it, you can run to the Patent office and register the idea as yours. After it is completely registered, the companies that are trying to use your idea have to pay for you or get permission from you. However, if you estimate the matter deeply, the existence of intellectual property law is a contradiction and furthermore, it will hinder the development of the society itself.

People say that love cannot be bought. Love is abstract concept that cannot be weighed nor calculated. Ideas, are the same as love. Nobody can estimate its range and actually count the number of it since ideas usually pop up in someone's head. Nobody can control their head from thinking of ideas that somebody already thought of. In fact, some of the ideas that people registered as theirs are something that anybody could think of. Although the government registered people's "mind" on a paper and approved of it as their property, they have no ways to control others who do not own the property from thinking of it or using it. As the concept of idea is so abstract, punishing the people who used other's idea without permission is as abstract as well. Also, its numbers cannot be estimated. There are seven billion people living on the earth. They live and they think. In this simple process, numerous ideas pop up in their head and fade out as fast as it did. The numbers of ideas that are actually registered in the offices are just tip of an iceberg.

Intellectual property actually restricts further development of a society. Assume that a company A developed a new product. The company came up with a new idea and the product is better and efficient than any other products in the market. Before selling the product, the company A had to make sure of whether they invaded others' intellectual property or not. They went for a checkup and unfortunately, the product itself was not a big matter but other part for the product (like design, manufacturing style and such) were already registered. They have to pay a huge fee to manufacture the product they made. After calculating future sales and income percentage, the company gave up the manufacture of the good. It was clear that their sales will not meet the production cost. Like this, several better optioned and better products, ideas were not made due to the intellectual property. This is very common among companies. Society is hindering itself from taking a step forward to a better living society by making an intellectual property law.

Some people might argue that if intellectual property is not approved, people will manipulate others ideas. They will take the technology that a company developed and make the same one, leading to market failure and a company going out of a market. They will take other's writing and show to the public as if it is theirs. Of course, this kind of manipulation should not happen. The purpose of intellectual property law is to stop such manipulation. However, it is also true that the present intellectual property law is too absurd and abstract to just leave it as it is. It does have a positive outcome stopping plagiarism, but its negative outcomes are huge. It hinders development and blocks a society from becoming better off. Due to its abstractness, countless companies and individuals are receiving damages.

Intellectual property law, however absurd it is, is needed for the community's well-being and to avoid conflicts. The government should strictly make a manual for the "intellectual" properties. Some ridiculous things and too normal ideas are also on the patent list. The government should focus on the society range benefits, not individuals' wealth.

Bayakhmetova Bibinur/The environment /Tues 5-6

In recent years, more and more actual theme is environmental pollution. The reason for this is technological progress and reckless human activity. Now that what people eat and breathe is polluted. Active pollution started about two hundred years ago. At this time it was industrial development. With the development of industry, emissions of harmful gases into the atmosphere began to rise.
In the 20th century came to replace coal oil and gas. Oil and gas burn cleaner than coal, but it does not solve the problem. Disposing of the combustion products of oil people created a new problem. It is a problem of acid rain. Clouds with acid rain can be transported by wind over thousands of kilometers away from the factory, which emits gas. It means that the rain may fall far from the pollution. Acid rain is has a significant effect. It damages to plants, destroys fertile soil, kills beneficial microorganisms.
The water pollution and soil plays an equally important role. Human interference in the water balance of nature leads to serious consequences. Contaminating the soil destroys the fertile layer of people, making a living in the land of the dead. Pollution causes irreparable harm to the micro-organisms in the natural processes in the soil.
People leave tons of garbage, which is then converted into a giant dump and then decompose directly on the bare ground. To prevent it people burn them and emit tons of harmful gases and thus emit tons of harmful gases. Anomalies of the high concentration of harmful substances have a negative influence on the existence of humans, plants and animals. Their danger lies in the fact that a constant source of pollution and a small level of harmful emissions they have imperceptible impact on living organisms. I understand that we now live in a time nanotechnology and our environment suffers from human activities. The task of the people is not to spoil, on the contrary, to give the benefit to the environment, but in order to change something we need to start with ourselves.
Pollution of environment leads to the death of useful microorganisms involved in human life. Due to pollution of the most important elements of life humanity could soon stand before the fact of his survival.

Abandon intellectual property protection

The advantages of intellectual property protection extend only to the people, who are interested in their existence - patentees. However, negative implications touch each of us, ever since everyone is equal before the law. In my opinion, there is no need of IP protection if you are not a patent holder because intellectual property protection has a bad influence on the scientific progress and non-patent holders welfare and rights.

The main reason is overcooling of scientific progress. The irony of the situation is that defenders of IP believe what IP property is a basic condition for the scientific and technical progress. In fact, the patent holder, protected by the low, is not experiencing a serious need to improve the quality of their products or services. Historical evidence of this are the Italian and German craft guilds, they did not change their technology for decades and even centuries, preserving archaic ways of producing and consuming popular products. According to Michele Boldrin and David Levine, each period of history, marked by technological breakthroughs, occurs when intellectual property protection was absent. Their example, which supports their idea. is the great innovators of the past - such as the inventor of the steam engine, James Watt, and creators of the first airplane brothers Orville and Wilbur Wright. They are famous not only for their inventions, but also for preventing any chance to improve their products and make them more affordable for economic reasons.

Secondly IP protection causes the violation of the property rights of non-patent holders, in other words, limiting people's personal freedom of a private property. As we have learned, using a laser pointer to play with a cat is a registered patent of K.T. Amiss and M.H. Abbott, so you cannot use your laser lights, bought for your money, with your cat in this way. Great Britain Patent No. GB2221607 "Glove for Lovers" also helps to develop the theme. "Glove for Lovers" is a two gloves stitched together, which allows loving couples to hold their hands together and not to get cold. By supporting my idea, despite the fact that a person has the material and skills, the law restricts them to use their material in this way.

Moreover, intellectual property protection results in redistribution of income in favor of the patent monopoly, in words of one syllable it means the gap between the rich and the poor will increase more and more. So the social inequality undermines political and economic stability of a country. Not necessary to explain that if you do not belong to the rich, every day of your life will be directed to the extraction of resources for survival. Even if you have everything to earn enough money for living, you cannot do the activity if it breaks the intellectual property law.

To sum up briefly, as the pros of IP protection touch only patentees, whereas the cons influence all of humanity, IP protection should be abandoned. Although adherents of intellectual property are the Great of the World, overcooling of scientific progress, the repeal of IP law is possible, due to the fact that violation of the property rights of non-patent holders, growing gap between the rich and the poor are really strong arguments.

Downloading copyrighted materials on the internet is tempting especially when the internet provides access to free materials. Almost everyone is guilty for this petty crime, if it can be considered as a crime at all. Although the law states that it is illegal to download copyrighted material on the internet, it should be legalized because it is not a crime. A crime is an act that is wrong, but downloading copyright materials is not wrong when materials are not being protected by its owners and its costs overvalue online materials.

There is a countless number of websites and sources where music and movies can be downloaded for free with a click of a finger. When copyright materials can be downloaded for free, why should anyone go through the extra payment steps to pay for them? If someone was given the choice to pay for a good or receive it for free, a smart choice would be to get the product for free. It is undeniably innate in consumers to seek for the best valued product at the lowest price. Therefore, the blame cannot be put on consumers for downloading copyright materials for free, but on the owners of the property. The responsibility lies on the owners of the copyrighted material to protect their material and prevent it from being leaked into society without a price tag. Hence, downloading copyright materials should be legalized as consumers should not be obliged to protect the property of others.

In addition, consumers should not have to pay for materials online when they already paid for the computer or device. Devices are worth the value of the cost because they are last longing and can be utilized for various reasons. On the other hand, online materials such as movies, will only be watched once or maybe twice which is why its costs are unworthy. Having to pay for all copyrighted materials seems like another way for industries to bleed the money out of consumers. Therefore, people should be given the right to have access to free copyrighted material.

Everyone is guilty of downloading copyright materials whether it was intentional or not. In our society where downloading copyright materials is considered normal, it is unfair to punish those unfortunate ones who are caught out of bad luck, while the rest of the public roam free from the crime. Without a doubt, the punishment of this crime which includes heavy fines and the possibility of imprisonment is crude for such a petty crime. For those who are unlucky, they receive outrageous charges to act as a precedent that is not even an effective means of protecting intellectual property. Putting the blame on the few and giving harsh punishments to deter others from downloading copyright materials which is not so much of a crime is not right. They should be freed and the law should be legalized.

Industries argue that they are not making enough money and it is part of their intellectual property which is why copyright materials need protection. However, I believe that this is not the case. Industries make enough money and only want to sweep in more money to reach ultimate goal of making as much profit as possible. If they don't want people to download their copyrighted material against their will, they should protect it themselves through their own measures instead of blaming consumers for doing what is definite.

In conclusion, copyrighted materials are provided all over the internet and it is the right of the consumer to download whatever they have access to without being bound to the law. The responsibility lies within the owners of the intellectual property to safeguard their property.

HuangKunyang/Study to abroad/Tue.56

With the times changing, social development, economic growth, more and more parents

all want to let children enjoy best life, even most of parents choose a way which let their children go abroad to study and experience abroad life. However, on the

contrast, some children maybe not adapt abroad life and live worse than self-country.

In my opinion, studying abroad is not really a good thing. Above all, children must

know language about which they want to go country. Otherwise. Children will can't

enjoy happy time, instead, he will live very difficult. My roommate is a good

example. Half a year ago, he was studying Korean in level 1 Korean class. The first

semester, maybe he had not a good foundation and until the second semester he had to restart to study in level 1 Korean class, But when he restarted to study knowledge

he already studied. He couldn't take attention to study. He always thought he already

knew them. Finally, sad event happened. when he ended the second semester, he

again didn't pass. There is no way that he didn't want to study and came back

self-country. So for some children to say, when you want to study abroad, you must think about clear. If not, it will be waste money and time.

Of course. Every things all are not absolute. For another children, studying abroad

will give them bring some good conditions. These children study good in self-country

and have some good studying foundation, they know several foreign languages and

can communicate with foreigner. When they go abroad to study, they can achieve

education better than self-country and can study abroad advanced culture. When after

they graduate, abroad studying experience also can lay a foundation for them.

Especially when they go to find jobs. This is very useful for them.

In addition, study to abroad is a not simple thing. It not only need a lot of money,

but also need to spend a number of time. Normal family can't provide enough

money to let children to study. Because parents can't make enough money to pay

tuition for children. What's more, it is a challenge for parents to supply children to

go abroad. There is no say that children live in abroad. It will bring huge press for parents. Like this situation, study to abroad is a diseconomy business for normal

family.

Finally, in a word, study to abroad is not a small and simple thing. Parents should clearly think about it. Even though children really want to go abroad, parents also

should depend on family and children condition to make decision. Otherwise, except wasting money and time, it also will effect children a lifetime.
